Ich knüpfe an den Blogbeitrag LICHTGESCHWINDIGKEIT BEATMUSIK 1964 an.

Wer hier jetzt noch neugierig oder interessiert ist, sollte mal seine Verstärker-Anlage aufdrehen. Ich habe es damals Tag und Nacht genossen. Wenn ich heute mal einschalte, beglückt es mich noch mit der gleichen Durchdringung.

Die soziale Revolution geschah in unserer Selbstwahrnehmung, nämlich weniger auf die Konventionen der Eltern zu geben (Papierschlangen, Lametta, Tischfeuerwerk, Papphütchen, Bowle mit verzierten PIEKSERN), als in schlecht beleuchteten, schlecht gelüfteten Schuppen, wo Kippen auf den Boden geascht wurden, in Ecken zu stehen und der neuesten Schlagermusik zuzuhören – manchmal forderte Mann eine Dame zum Tanzen auf (wie die alten – denn man war beim Tanzkurs) – Friseur wurde gemieden. Wir spielten bei den Pfadpfindern plötzlich „If I had a Hammer“ oder „La Bamba“ oder „House of the rising Sun“. „Wenn die bunten Fahnen wehen“ oder „Die blauen Dragoner sie reiten“, „Die Glocken stürmten vom Bernwardsturm“ – das sang niemand mehr.

Wer sich an die Fotos der ASTRID KIRCHHERR erinnert, die 1960 bis 1962 bei den ersten Auslandsgastspielen der späteren BEATLES entstanden – der 17-jährige George Harrison, die schwarzen Rocker-Lederjacken, die mit Haarcreme zur Elvis-Tolle gekämmte Frisur – fand ein ästhetisches Prolet-Kult-Tanzmusik-Paket, das vollkommen stimmte.

Keineswegs passten dazu dann die DESIGN-SENSATIONEN, die mit Gewalt vom Beatles-Manager BRIAN EPSTEIN und vom ELECTROLA-Tonmeister GEORGE MARTIN erzwungen wurden und in artifiziellen militärgrünen Mao-Anzügen mit Stehkragen, schwarzem Lederschlips, Pilzkopf-Frisur, hochhackige „Beatles-Stiefel“ sowie der Alpenlore von LOVE ME DO und SO WEITER, zu diesen jugendlichen ROCKERS aus LIVERPOOL.

Diese Beatles kamen sich dann selbst komisch vor – ohne ihr hartes Lederjacken-Outfit.

Diesem Widerspruch sollen die hier verlinkten Musikbeispiele beikommen. Denn man hört von BEATLES LIVE nicht LOVE ME DO mit kontrapunktischem Gesang und Mundharmonika-Folk, sondern man hörte LONG TALL SALLY und einen bis dahin nie gehörten BRÜLLGESANG mit übersteuerten Gitarren und einem die Abschlagbecken strapazierenden BIG-BAND-SCHLAGZEUG-Spiel. Man muss den furiosen RINGO als Sonderfall der Menschheitsgeschichte mal kurz auf sich wirken lassen. Sowas geht mit Rhythmus – ohne Drogen:

Auf einer QUADROPHENIA-Rock-Oper von THE WHO wird der Schallplatten-Hörer aufgefordert, die Lautstärke eines Düsenflugzeugs einzuschalten, um hören zu können, was gemeint ist.

Die bereits enorm erfolgreichen californischen BEACH BOYS bewunderten die ROLLING STONES. BRIAN WILSON fand es unerreichbar, je so viel Spannung, Timing und Sound im Spiel von der Bühne herabzubringen, wie die ROLLING STONES, die bereits 1964 und 1965 in den USA tourten.

Die erste Schallplatte mit solch extrem intensiv treibenden Songs, als Konzertmitschnitt, ohne Backups und samt Publikumsgeschrei brachte die DECCA heraus. Es war GOT LIVE IF YOU WANT IT!, eine EP, erschien 1965, mit nur vier Stücken von den ROLLING STONES von 5-7-May 1965 in Liverpool und Manchester aufgenommen, beginnend mit EV’RYBODY NEEDS SOMEBODY TO LOVE / PAIN IN MY HEART, (Rückseite der EP, I’M MOVING ON / I’M ALLRIGHT enthalten Gesang und Mundharmonika-Playbacks. Mick Jagger singt und spielt Mundharmonika bei I’m moving on, während Brian Jones die Slide-Guitar spielte).

Wir hören die ersten unglaublich schönen TRIOLEN der BEATMUSIK in „Gonna find me a substitute“, das LIVE im Studio gespielt und unmitttelbar aufgenommen wurde. Lediglich Publikumsgeräusche „fehlen“, die den Unterschied zur Live-Performance ausmachen würden.

Es folgen von 1963/1964 diese randständigeren SKIP ALLEN oder VIVIAN PRINCE – allerbeste Schlagzeuger der Zeit – bei den PRETTY THINGS aus Dartford, die der ehemalige Rolling Stones-Gitarrist DICK TAYLOR gegründet hatte.
